Aston University Engineering Academy

Current Status

Closed, only open to students whose parents are key workers or vulnerable students – must book the day before.

Current Status

College is now open to small groups of students in Year 10 and 12. 

Application Process

The official deadline for receipt of an ‘on-time’ application for start in September 2020 has now passed. The first round aptitude workshops have taken place. Students who wish to submit a late application should download either the Post-16 application form or the Year 10 application form on website The final deadline for receipt of a fully completed application was Friday 15th May 2020. BOA cannot guarantee an aptitude workshop for all who apply after the January deadline.

Cadbury Sixth Form College

Current Status

Progressing students have been invited back on an appointment basis to talk about their options for next year. Those that did respond were sent a travel kit through the post which included PPE and a travel card.

Application Process

Are accepting online applications via the website. Telephone and online Interviews are taking place. Students who apply will receive a conditional offer to attend an interview at enrolment subject to the usual reference checks – once an application has been made the college will keep students updated of the process of their application.

TNew courses starting in August  for unemployed adults  – 18+ and on Universal Credit.  Courses are free and include ESOL, Business Admin, Maths and English, Advice and Guidance and Computing.  2 week Headstart course starts on 3 August covering First Aid, Employability, CVs etc.  Leads on to full-time course at any college.  Traineeship also available for NEET young people 16-24 starting in September. 12wks including 6wks work experience.  See website for details.

Solihull College

Current Status

A partial and gradual re-opening from June 2020 will initially be for students for whom it is appropriate and/or necessary. College is also currently planning how it can facilitate a safe study/working environment in advance of new academic beginning in September 2020.
