Care worker
Care worker
Care workers have a variety of roles including supporting vulnerable people to live independently, work in residential homes, nursing homes or in day care centres. Roles may include supporting people to take medication, eat meals and daily activities such as getting dressed.

£14,000 – £25,000

Future employment – It is estimated that over the next three years nearly 600 000 roles in care work will be available.
Physiotherapist
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Physiotherapists diagnose and treat patients to improve their range of movement and promote health and wellbeing. Many physiotherapists will work in the NHS but roles are available in private practice and specialist roles such as sports physiotherapists.

£25,000 - £45,000

Future employment – It is predicted that there will be 3.8% more physiotherapists needed by 2027 this is approximately 2700 more physios.
Midwife
Midwife
Midwives support pregnant women and their babies before, during and after childbirth. The role will include supporting women giving birth and advising expectant mothers.

£27,000 - £47,500
Future employment
It is predicted that 121,200 jobs will be available by 2027.
Speech and language therapist
Speech and language therapist
Speech and language therapists support people with speaking and communication problems and those with difficulties eating and swallowing. They will work with a variety of clients including those that have difficulty developing their speech and those that loose their speech in later life.

£28,000 - £50,000
