Birmingham Careers Service

Coronavirus information for all our service users.

We would like to let you know about the steps we at Birmingham Careers Service are taking now in line with government directions during these uncertain times. We are doing our best to continue to provide a service as much as possible.

For the foreseeable we won’t be able to see young people face to face for Careers guidance at our outreach venues. However, our Personal Careers Advisers will still be able to speak to young people via phone conversation, video link where permitted, email and text.

Helping you build a positive future

Birmingham Careers Service is a free and friendly support service providing careers information, advice and guidance to young people aged 16 to 19 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). If a young person has a learning difficulty and/or disability then we can help them until they are 25. We are part of Birmingham City Council and we work alongside other local services.

We have highly qualified Personal Advisers experienced in working with young people to help them make informed decisions, ensure they are aware of all options and potential career paths as well as providing information and advice on current employment, training and education opportunities.
